About Sutra
One dashboard. All your servers. Complete infrastructure visibility.
What Sutra is
Sutra is an infrastructure-monitoring tool built by Abhyagaat. It is a Next.js dashboard and API, a background worker that evaluates checks and delivers alerts, and a Linux agent that reports host, Docker, systemd and PM2 state. Data is stored in PostgreSQL.
It is designed to answer three questions quickly: what is broken right now, since when, and how do I get to the logs.
Problems it solves
- One place to see the health of every server instead of logging in to each one.
- Automatic incidents when a check keeps failing, with how long it has been down and acknowledge/resolve tracking.
- Notifications to Microsoft Teams, email (SMTP) and Power Automate when incidents open or recover.
- A public status page and a wall display for operations teams.
- An append-only audit log of state-changing actions, and role-based access (admin and viewer).
How it is built
A small agent runs on each monitored Linux server. It sends outbound HTTPS heartbeats, so no inbound access to the server is needed. Requests pass through nginx to the Next.js web application, which writes to PostgreSQL. A separate worker evaluates checks, opens and closes incidents, probes websites and SSL certificates, and sends notifications.
