Terms of Service

Terms for using the Sutra website and dashboard. Draft pending legal review.

To be confirmed: Legal entity offering the service, governing law and jurisdiction, and the effective date. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or disrupt the service or other users, bypass rate limits or access controls, or use it to attack third parties.

Authorisation to monitor

You may add only servers, websites and services that you own or are explicitly permitted to monitor and, where agents or commands are used, to administer. You are responsible for the permissions that allow Sutra to check them or restart services on them.

Accounts

Accounts are created by an administrator and limited to addresses at the company email domain; there is no public registration. Keep your credentials confidential, tell an administrator if you suspect misuse, and do not share accounts. Administrators may change roles, revoke sessions or disable accounts.

Availability

The service is provided as is and may be interrupted for maintenance or by failures. Alerts depend on external services (for example a Teams webhook may accept a message without a person seeing it), so do not rely on Sutra as your only safeguard.

To be confirmed: Any uptime commitment or support terms. None are promised here.

Intellectual property and open-source licence

These site terms govern use of the website and the hosted service only. They are separate from any licence that applies to the Sutra source code. At the time of writing, the repository does not contain a licence file, so no open-source licence is granted by this page.

The name, logo and site content remain the property of their owners.

To be confirmed: The licence under which the source is released (if any) and ownership of the trademarks and logo. See the Open Source page.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from missed or delayed alerts, monitoring gaps or service restarts you initiate.

To be confirmed: Liability cap and warranty disclaimers: legal review required before relying on this section.

Termination and changes

We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or to protect the service. You may stop using it at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after the effective date of a change means you accept it. See also the Privacy Policy.
